About Michelle

I’m Michelle Pari, CSP, founder of Ascend Safety. Ascend Safety is built on the belief that workplace safety can be simpler, more strategic, and more accessible. With nearly 20 years of experience leading safety programs across retail, industrial, and diverse industries, I’m passionate about helping organizations move safety beyond compliance and into a culture where people feel safe, valued, and empowered.

I bring extensive experience managing complex safety systems, along with a practical understanding of operational demands, workforce dynamics, and the realities of implementing safety programs across multiple departments. My approach helps organizations strengthen compliance while building safer, more resilient workplaces that support long-term performance.

I’ve led safety programs across manufacturing, healthcare, construction, retail, and nonprofit organizations, working in complex operational environments to improve safety performance and strengthen workplace culture.

In addition to consulting, I serve as a mentor for the American Society of Safety Professionals and will begin serving in 2026 as an instructor for the Leadership in Safety Management Program through the American Society of Safety Professionals.

I hold a B.S. in Environmental Health and Safety from Oregon State University, am a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), and earned an M.S. in Postsecondary Adult and Continuing Education from Portland State University.
